LONG ISLAND 30 UNDER 30
2018
After being adopted from Moscow at a very young age, Alexander has lived in Melville for as long as he can remember. Throughout his early education, his interests in art & science became clearer, inevitably leading him to Architecture. He graduated with his Masters of Architecture from Roger Williams University. Post graduating, he was living at home, commuting to Manhattan, working on the most interesting residential buildings. After a year & a half, he found H2M architects + engineers where he has been working for the last year. Within his first month, the company had its first in-house design competition. Alexander lead the winning team in the design of a house in Melville for a wounded veteran, part of the Stephen Siller Foundation – Building for America’s Bravest. Upon meeting the client, Corporal Chris Levi, he was comedic, humbled & excited. He expressed such joy & conviction when he said he chose their design because, he just knew it was the one. He was speechless when they revealed the renderings Alexander made at the ground-breaking ceremony. Chris told him that he carries around the 3D Animation of his house on his tablet. It’s just remarkable to think how a few sketches, a few conversations, a few extra hours of effort could lead to something that means the world to someone else.
ARCHITECTURAL DIGEST FEATURE
2018
Renderings I created while working at H2M Architects & Engineers of the Shrub Oak International School were featured in Architectural Digest.

ALPHA RHO CHI MEDAL
2015
Since 1931, the Bronze Alpha Rho Chi Medal has recognized graduating architecture students for their leadership and service and what they offer the future of the profession. Alpha Rho Chi believes strong leaders are just as essential as strong designers. The award was established to recognize qualities not necessarily pertaining to studio and scholarship.
The fraternity awards the Bronze Alpha Rho Chi Medal annually to a graduating senior at each accredited school of architecture in the United States and Canada. Judged by the faculty of each school, the medal is presented to the graduating senior who has shown an ability for leadership, performed willing service for his or her school or department, and gives promise of real professional merit through his or her attitude and personality.
